Running time: 00:01:07

Becoming (United Kingdom) by Shelley Hopkins
‘Becoming’ transports us to an otherworldly realm where an angelic chorus of synth and suggestion underscores an ever- changing landscape that is simultaneously fixed at the micro - the savage and purposeful dance of creation and destruction and the macro - the unimaginably vast and unwittingly beautiful scale of an unthinking universe forever swirling towards its next stage.
Running time: 00:04:48

Reliefs (Mexico) by Juan Manuel Gonzalez Fernandez
Carlos is approaching midlife trapped in a personal crisis that has lingered too long. Rosa, his mother, suffers from disabling pain that is only mitigated by the warm waters of hydrotherapy. One night, she offers to make the ultimate sacrifice so that they can both transit to a better place. A short film about love, hope and relief we all long for.
Running time: 00:17:40

Foreign Bodies (Hong Kong, United Kingdom) by Lysander Wong
A simple itch descends into an outbreak with many legs. Certain things will always find their way to the surface.

A Frog Sits In Water (United Kingdom) by Dylan Friese-Greene
A Frog Sits in Water is an experimental film exploring human complacency in the face of disaster. Set during an all-consuming heatwave, the film follows a lone figure spiralling into psychosis as the world boils and rots around him. Surrounded by spinning fans, he blocks out the sunlight and plays his saxophone in a desperate attempt to to drown out reality and retreat inward.

Our President is a Crocodile (India) by Srishti Seema Shukla
‘Our President is a Crocodile’ is a satire on the current Indian political landscape and explores themes of ignorance, complacency, and political resistance in India. It highlights the lengths people go to justify their beliefs, often to absurdity. The film follows its protagonist, Sandy, walking through a neighbourhood of people all unwilling to see that their president is a crocodile - or, worse, do something about it.
Running time: 00:04:35

Half Head (United Kingdom) by Laura Clifford
When a shy teenager gets a haircut, she enters a dreamscape where her self-doubt takes shape as a seductive yet cruel double.

An excess baggage (France) by Myriam Garcia Marienstras
Sophie hides her unease within the intense bond she shares with her daughter, Lila. When Lila leaves for summer camp, Sophie finds herself alone for the first time, overwhelmed by separation and emotional dependency. As the day unfolds, she drifts through encounters and small gestures, trying awkwardly to fill the void. An Excess Baggage portrays a woman whose love, though sincere, becomes too heavy to carry.
Running time: 00:16:20

Panorama (United Kingdom) by Ausra Linkeviciute
An experimental documentary blending moving image and photography with audio from Lithuania’s daily Panorama news. The camera pans down the facade of a Soviet-era five-storey apartment block as we overhear the news layered with domestic sounds from within the flats – private lives unfolding beneath the shared public narrative. It’s intentionally not subtitled, so the viewer is left wondering what can and can’t be overheard.
