Our mission is to champion the art of short films and the talent of short filmmakers. We pride ourselves in finding and screening the best shorts from all over the globe. Super Shorts 2011 will be an environmentally friendly film festival that supports a paperless system of submission, encouraging film makers to reduce their carbon footprint and to set an example to our community to respect the planet that gives us so much.
The paperless submission process not only serves to reduce our carbon footprint, but also to make the lives of film makers easier by eliminating the need to fill out and post pesky forms and burn and send DVD's. As such, we've partnered with Dailymotion this year to provide film makers with a platform to upload their submissions. The beauty of uploading online, as well as being simpler for the entrants, is that that it supports a wide range of video file formats and HD quality so that your the judging panel can see your film as it's meant to be seen.
Daniel Adams, Head of International Content at Dailymotion, said:
"We are very happy to help Super Shorts become an environmentally festival by enabling all films to be submitted through Dailymotion. The Dailymotion site is designed to provide film makers with the tools to viralise their videos through seeding them on social media networks and embedding them on other online platforms. Through this, we hope to give emerging creative talents the means to showcase their work to as wide an audience as possible."
We have also teamed up with the Universal Film and Festivals Organisation (UFFO) to support and promote fairness and equity as a festival. We pride ourselves on our ethics and believe in having a responsibility to treat all films and film makers equally, guaranteeing a level playing field and no personal or political bias-making us a film festival that loves films for the sake of films.
